Conroy pedals backwards on filtering
Communications Minister Stephen Conroy is back-pedaling, fast. On the SBS TV program, Insight, he indicated internet filtering in Australia would block information already banned by the censor only, with parents responsible for controlling their children's access - precisely what critics (like this website, and Civil Liberties Australia) have been calling for. Crash Conroy's new position has been described as the "great walkback".
